Mr. Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, received the CSP9 delegation on 11 July at the Great Hall of the People. He reviewed the pathway and achievements China been through in the thirty years of openness and reform. He also reviewed the challenges China has faced since early 2008, and shared with delegates how local and overseas Chinese have devoted their efforts in the struggle to those challenges. He encouraged the CSP delegates to pass on and inherit the Chinese tradition, and be a supporter of motherland's development.

CSP Reunion 2010 Application Still Available
Following the CSP 2010 press conference held in the US in mid-January, our US representative collected responses from American alumni and suggested the CSP Organizing Committee to accept Reunion applications until early February. The application form has therefore remained available on our website for download.
However, there also seem to be some misunderstanding lately about the upcoming CSP reunion application being closed. Please note that the “Application” section on our website was specifically for CSP10 applicants, therefore please ensure you visit the "Reunification" page for details and application forms for the upcoming reunion!
For those who wished to submit their applications early February, please do so as soon as possible!

Many of our CSP alumni reflected to us that they would very much like to join the reunion but unable to apply before the deadline. In consideration of these concerns, the CSP Organizing Committee has decided to extend the application deadline to 29 January 2010.

CSP10 Reactivated!
Yes, CSP10 is reactivated! The CSP Office is currently preparing for the exciting CSP10 scheduled for the summer of 2010. CSP10 is a milestone for the programme and it will be a very memorable and special one as not only that we will have a brand new batch of Outstanding Youths from the world joining the group, our CSP alumni will be meeting us in Beijing for a home-coming gathering!
The tentative schedule for CSP10 is 5th-21st July 2010. As the recruitment process for CSP10 was completed last year, we will be in touch with the selected CSP10 delegates to reconfirm their participation status. We will also be announcing the details for the reunion and its application process in the very near future.

第十屆「傑青」活動暫訂2010年7月5日至21日舉行。作為「傑青」活動的重要里程碑，本屆活動即將從全球迎來新一屆的傑出華裔青年，而歷屆舊生亦將在北京重逢。屆時，新生舊生將歡聚一堂、共敘友誼，增進對中國最新發展的了解和思考。

CSP10 and Reunion postponed due to outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1)
The CSP office has been closely following the development of the Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak since its first occurrence in Mexico in late April 2009. The Organizing Committee is concerned with the potential health risk the delegates will be taking in the upcoming CSP10 and Reunion. Furthermore, the Organizing Committee has also been paying attention to the measures taken in different countries against the outbreak and the related problems they can bring to the CSP journey. As the organizer of the event, the health and safety of our delegates are our ultimate concern and given the present pandemic, we have the obligation to minimize the risk. Having considered this matter critically, the Organizing Committee of the China Synergy Programme has reached a decision to postpone the upcoming CSP programme to year 2010 with the interest of the well being of our delegates.

因H1N1流感疫情蔓延 CSP10及大團聚活動延期
自甲型H1N1流感疫潮在多個國家和地區爆發以來，籌委會一直密切關注疫情對第十屆「海外傑青匯中華」和大團聚活動參加者帶來的潛在風險，同時亦密切留意各地防疫措施對活動行程可能產生的影響。由於所有參加者的健康和安全至為重要，活動組織者責無旁貸，必須避免有關風險。經過詳細考慮，「海外傑青匯中華」籌委會決定將第十屆「海外傑青匯中華」及大團聚活動延期至2010年舉行。

CSP10 Selection Result Released
The 10th China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth has continued to receive tremendous support from all the participating institutions and universities this year. Thanks to the promotions by the universities of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong and other regions, the CSP10 received 1,018 applications from nearly 200 universities of 22 countries and regions.
This year, the selection panel was formed by:
- Professor Way KUO (President, City University of Hong Kong)
- Professor Timothy W. TONG (President, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University)
- Professor WONG Yuk-shan (Vice-President, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology)
- Dr. Kenneth FANG (Member, Board of Chairmen)
- Mr YU Kwok Chun (Member, Board of Chairmen)
- Mr CHAN Wing Kee (Member, Board of Chairmen)
After intensive discussion the Panel finalized the selection and applicants were informed individually via email. Selected applicants will be joining the CSP10 journey to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xian, Shanghai and Beijing (Tianjin) in the coming July.

第十屆「海外傑青匯中華」活動入選結果
本屆「海外傑青匯中華」繼續得到各協辦機構和協辦大學的支持，在美國、加拿大、英國、東南亞及港澳台等地多所大學的協助推廣下，共收到來自22個國家和地區、近200間大學，共1,018份申請。籌委會邀請香港城市大學校長郭位教授、香港理工大學校長唐偉章教授、香港科技大學副校長黃玉山教授，聯同籌委會主席團成員方鏗博士、余國春先生、陳永棋先生等組成評審委員會，從眾多優秀的申請者中，選出參與本屆活動的學生。
最終入選結果已透過電郵通知各申請者。獲選參加第十屆「海外傑青匯中華」活動的團員們，將於今年7月到訪香港、廣州、西安、上海、天津及北京。

CSP10 Online Application Closed
The CSP10 Online Application is now officially closed. Applicants who have completed the online application should send out their documentary proofs by post immediately. To enhance processing speed, please state “Application for CSP10” and the application number on the envelope. Kindly note that any documentary proofs reaching the CSP Secretariat after 22th January 2009 (Thu) will NOT be accepted.

CSP10 is now available for application
In order to extend our vision to "Learn More About China and Chinese Culture", application for the 10th China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth (CSP10) is now available on-line. The Programme will take place from 2 July to 19 July, 2009, and delegates will be visiting cities include Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xian, Shanghai and Beijing. Please refer to "Programme" section for application eligibility, fees and other information.

CSP9 Completed Successfully!
The 9th China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth (CSP9) was held between 1 – 17 July 2008, when 212 outstanding Chinese students from 18 countries and regions visited Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xian, Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. Delegates received the certificates of participation on 16 July at the Closing Ceremony, and said farewell to each other after the fruitful and meaningful trip. Throughout the 17 days delegates were able to see and experience China by themselves, and to live and learn with their fellows from all over the world. This trip helped to reduce the distance between delegates and their motherland, and also through the trip they were able to understand more about the past, present and future of China. 「第九屆海外傑青匯中華」圓滿結束！
經歷了十七天旅程，第九屆「海外傑青匯中華」的團員們在上海依依惜別。7月1日起，212名團員從18個國家和地區齊聚香港，歷經廣州（番禺）、西安、北京、天津，7月16日在活動的最後一站──上海，舉行了總結禮。團員們在總結禮上獲得了此次活動頒發的證書，標誌著又一屆「傑青」活動的圓滿結束！在十七天的行程中，團員們親眼目睹中國的最新發展，體會中華文化的深厚底蘊，與來自世界各地的團員共同生活、學習。此次活動使他們得以有機會走近中國，更好地了解中國的昨天、今天與明天。活動詳情請繼續留意本網頁。
