OBJECTIVE This annual China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth consists a series of exploration and exchange activities will be held in major cities of mainland China. As our motto states ˇ§Learn More About China and Chinese Cultureˇ¨, the Programme aims at providing an opportunity for outstanding Chinese youths who are residing overseas and in Hong Kong to learn about the current socio-economical, technological and cultural development of China. During their sojourn in the Chinese cities, students will meet people from different circles, no matter celebrities or ordinary people. And their knowledge of the history and traditions of China will much be enlightened. ˇ@ THE 4th CHINA SYNERGY PROGRAMME FOR OUTSTANDING YOUTH This year, the China Synergy Programme will be held from July 7 to 23, 2002 and cities to be visited within these 17days are Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xian, Beijing and Shanghai. Activities of the Programme have a good varieties, including: - meeting with top government officials; - touring major socio-economic, technological and cultural development projects; - visiting major universities and participating in exchange activities with local university students; - visiting local households ; - meeting with outstanding youths and prominent people; - sightseeing. (The above itinerary is subject to change) ˇ@ THE DELEGATION The delegation of the China Synergy Programme will be formed by 228 students with 110 students from overseas, 70 students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan; and 48 students from mainland.
