We have received warm responses from applicants all over the world and we would like to thank you all for your support. The selection procedure is currently in progress, and results will be released by Mid April 2008. Applicants will be notified by email individually. The CSP9 Secretariat received requests from many applicants for postponing the application deadline of the Programme. After thorough discussion, the Organizing Committee decided to reschedule the online application deadline to 15th February 2008 (Friday).

Applicants should complete the online application and send out necessary documentary proofs as soon as possible. To enhance processing speed, please state “Application for CSP9” and your application number on the envelope. Kindly note that any late application and documentary proofs reaching the Secretariat after 15th February 2008 will NOT be accepted.

In order to extend our vision of “Learn More About China and Chinese Culture”, the 9th China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth (CSP9) is now available for application. Simply refer to the Application section for recruitment criteria and online application. The Programme date will be 1 – 17 July, 2008. Visiting cities will include Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Xian, Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. For any enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Altogether 212 delegates from 19 countries and regions joined the 8th China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth (CSP8). The whole delegation gathered in Hong Kong on 30 June, and attended the HKSAR 10th Anniversary celebration activities on 1 July. Starting the root-finding journey, the delegation traveled to Guangzhou (Panyu), Xian, Beijing and Shanghai. Delegates visited different historical and cultural sites, experienced various aspects of the country, learnt and understood the current socio-economic development of China by traveling to the captioned cities. On 10 July, the delegation was honored to meet with Mr. Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, in the Great Hall of the People. The CSP8 was completed successfully on 16 July in Hong Kong. Details of the Programme can be found in our website soon. Thank you for your kind attention.

The final selection meeting of CSP8 successfully held on 19th March. This year, we received over 800 applications from 21 countries and regions. The Selection Panel was very impressed by the outstanding achievement of each applicant. Delegates were selected based on academic, non-academic achievements and participation in extra-curricular activities and community services. Priority was given to those who had not been to mainland China before. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we thank for every applicant's support to the Programme.
